It's official, Kathleen is now standing unsupported, by herself.She has been pulling herself up to stand against furniture for months. Over the last few weeks she has been getting better and better at letting go once she is standing up, and not holding on. Usually for 4-5 seconds, but on some occassions up to 30 seconds.
Then in the last couple of days she has learnt how to stand herself up from a squatting position without holding on to anything at all. And then stand unsupported for as long as she likes before carefully lowering herself down again (no falling on her bum for this kid). What really surprises me is how quickly she has become adept at this new skill. It was new on Thursday and today she does it with ease.
Won't be long now until she is walking.
